Natural sunscreen that's safe & good for your skin!
This sunscreen uses zinc oxide as well as natural oils that naturally provide a barrier from the suns rays, rather using chemicals which react with your skin and can cross into your tissue.
Zinc oxide is the only recommended safe broad spectrum sunscreen that protects against both UVA & UVB rays. It's also the only sun protecting ingredient FDA approved for use on under 6 month olds.
All ingredients are 100% natural, and organic where possible. This makes this sunscreen safe to use on babies, people with sensitive skin, and anyone who wants to cut down the amount of harmful toxins in their life! Safe to use on face & body.
Comes in a glass jar. Spreads well, so a little goes a long way. ( I can use the same large size jar on our family all year! )
Plus, this sunscreen smells divine, and moisturises well too. This makes it a fantastic barrier against windburn too. Perfect for use when hiking, or up on the skifields.
Our sunscreen is not overly-whitening. It rubs in pretty well, however a tiny amount of whitening will always remain with our Regulas & Kawakawa Sunscreens (And any other non-nano zinc product). The SPF 50+ sunscreen is 100% clear if this is an important feature for you.
Ingredients: Non-nano zinc oxide, organic shea butter, olive oil, organic unrefined coconut oil, organic unrefined NZ beeswax & red raspberry seed oil .
Make sure to test patch on skin first.
Re-apply every two hours, and more often when in water or sweating excessively.
No need to wait 20 mins before going out into sun.
Staying in the shade is however still the most effective method of sun protection for people of all ages.
Independently tested to AS/NZS Standard 2604. This is a newer recipe than the one referred to in the Consumer NZ report. Our new recipe ( since October 2018) has an indicative SPF of approx 18. This means you can stay out in the sun about 18x as long as you otherwise could. (ie. If you normally burn in 30mins, you'd theoretically be fine for 9hrs) However the Cancer Society recommendation with any SPF sunscreen is to re-apply every 2hrs, and more often in water due to rub-off. Most people then find that this is enough sun protection for them & their children, however if a stronger SPF is more important to you, then do check out our SPF 50+ Sunscreen. This tested at the lab in Australia to an SPF of 96.
